From the moment we connect, Travel Portland’s Convention Sales Team ensures a professional, cohesive citywide sales effort by developing and maintaining a high level of trust and camaraderie within the hospitality community.

Once you’ve booked your meeting in Portland, our Convention Services and Housing teams work with you to coordinate meeting details and services before, during and after the meeting. Services include, but are not limited to, planning assistance, site visit coordination, pre-convention attendance-builders and promotional materials, and referrals to local businesses. We evaluate our success by measuring planner satisfaction and tracking the number of promotional pieces distributed, services leads shared, site tours conducted and room nights booked.

Throughout the whole process, Travel Portland coordinates with the hotel community, Oregon Convention Center and other industry partners to ensure a positive experience for convention planners and attendees.

We’re driven by planners’ needs

The Travel Portland Customer Advisory Board (CAB) is made up of about 20 planners from around the country who work with Portland’s hospitality community to provide candid and open conversation and recommendations regarding how Portland can become a better convention destination. Members of the CAB come in Portland twice a year to participate in major brain-storming sessions and deepen their familiarity with our product. Travel Portland’s sales, services and marketing teams rely on input from the CAB to guide our work.
