Metropolitan Exposition and Recreation Commission (MERC)
MERC serves as a catalyst for culture, community and economic vitality for Oregon and the Portland metropolitan region through leadership, advocacy, and expert management of public event venues including the Oregon Convention Center, Center for the  Performing Arts and Metropolitan Exposition Center.

Portland’s elected regional government, Metro helps make the Portland metropolitan area an extraordinary place to live, work and play. Metro’s  programs include planning and conservation, sustainable living, garbage and  recycling.

Through partnerships and collaboration, BPS provides: Citywide strategic and comprehensive land use planning; neighborhood, district, economic, historic and environmental research, planning and urban design; policy and services to advance energy efficiency, green building, waste reduction, composting and recycling, solar and renewable energy use, and local sustainable food production; as well as actions to mitigate and adapt to climate change.

TriMet strives to build a safe, comfortable, reliable and innovative transit system  that delivers transportation options to Portland’s growing region. TriMet’s options include MAX light rail, streetcar and bus systems.
